Our Security Milestones

Seven years of protecting businesses across Taiwan through comprehensive security testing and vulnerability assessment

Results That Matter

Since 2018, we've been quietly building a track record of helping businesses identify and fix security gaps before they become expensive problems. These numbers tell the story of our work.

Seven Years of Growth

We started small and focused. Each year brought new challenges that helped us get better at what we do.

2018

Founded ByteOnDriftUp

Started with basic penetration testing services for small tech companies in Hsinchu. Our first client was a local e-commerce platform that needed help securing customer payment data.

2020

Expanded Testing Methods

Added automated vulnerability scanning and social engineering assessments. This year we prevented our first major breach - a manufacturing company was about to lose production data to ransomware.

2022

Regional Recognition

Named as preferred security testing partner by Taiwan Tech Industry Association. We were handling 40+ assessments annually and building our reputation through consistent, thorough work.

2024

Advanced Threat Simulation

Developed custom testing frameworks for IoT security and supply chain vulnerabilities. Our team grew to handle enterprise-level assessments for multinational companies with Taiwan operations.

2025

Industry Leadership

Now conducting security assessments for critical infrastructure and financial services. We're known for finding issues others miss and explaining complex problems in ways that help businesses actually fix them.

What Drives Our Work

These aren't just words on a website. They're the principles that guide how we approach every assessment, every client conversation, and every security recommendation we make.

Thorough Investigation

We don't stop at surface-level scanning. Our team digs deep to understand how systems actually work and where real vulnerabilities hide.

Last month, we found a critical database exposure that three previous security audits had missed. The client said it was buried so deep they never would have found it themselves.

Clear Communication

Technical jargon doesn't help anyone fix problems. We explain vulnerabilities in terms that both IT teams and business leaders can understand and act on.

Our reports include step-by-step remediation guides and business impact explanations. One client said it was the first security report their CEO actually read cover to cover.

Real-World Focus

We test systems the way actual attackers would approach them, not just run automated tools. This means finding issues that matter in real business environments.

During a recent assessment, we discovered that employees were sharing login credentials through messaging apps - something automated scans would never catch.

Long-term Partnership

Security isn't a one-time fix. We build relationships with clients to help them improve their security posture over time as their business grows and threats evolve.

We've worked with one manufacturing client for four years now, conducting quarterly assessments and helping them maintain security through major system upgrades.

Kai Eriksson

Kai has been leading our security assessments since 2019. Before joining us, he spent six years finding vulnerabilities at a cybersecurity firm in Stockholm, then moved to Taiwan to help establish better security practices in Asia's growing tech sector.

Discovered critical infrastructure vulnerabilities at 15 major Taiwan-based companies
Developed custom testing methodologies for IoT device security that we still use today
Prevented an estimated NT$50 million in potential breach costs through early vulnerability detection
Trains our junior analysts and has mentored 12 security professionals who now work across the industry

"The best security assessment isn't the one that finds the most vulnerabilities - it's the one that helps a business understand their real risks and gives them a clear path to fix what matters most."
